Elder Noah Rocker, Jr. was born the fourth of six children to Deacon Noah, Sr. and Missionary Merline Rocker in Choctaw Bluff, AL. Living in a Christian home from the time of birth, church has been his life at the McIntosh Church of God Pentecostal. Elder Rocker’s parents believed in true Holiness and its teachings of a spiritual rebirth with the evidence of speaking in tongues and taking on water baptism. After graduating from Jackson High School, it was the blessed night of June 26, 2002, that Elder Rocker received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the International Youth Congress of the Church of God Pentecostal, Inc. in Cleveland, OH. Since that night, he has possessed a great zeal for righteous living and to do the work of the Lord.
In 2006, Elder Rocker accepted an anointing and high calling of Christ Jesus to preach the gospel. Often, he reminded himself that if this gospel is hid, it is hidden to them that are lost. As he began working in the ministry, Elder Rocker soon became a spotlight for the youth. Because of his sincere love for God, many youth were encouraged by Elder Rocker’s testimony and soon began to take pursuit of seeking for the Holy Ghost.
Later in 2006, Elder Rocker graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. By divine favor, God granted him employment with the Alabama Power Company. It was in 2007 that he relocated to Montgomery, AL to begin his career where his beginning of a journey in ministry was birthed. Under Bishop Larry Hudson, Elder Rocker was appointed to begin a ministry work in the Birmingham area. Weekly, he traveled to and from Calera, AL gathering the saved and lost and teaching Bible lessons.
Elder Rocker was being blessed in his ministry efforts, but he soon understood God’s perspective of companionship and why it was not good for man to be alone. Elder Rocker found interest in Sis. Jada McDonald. Sis. Jada was born into the McIntosh Church of God Pentecostal, Inc. family as well. At the age of 17, she was filled with the Holy Ghost during tarrying service. It was December 28, 2006 that she prayed to God and asked Him to not let the year escape without her receiving the Holy Ghost. And on that night around the 9:00 hour, she was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. First Lady Jada is a graduate of Satsuma High School and an alumni of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her Bachelor’s in Health Information Management.
Elder Rocker and Sister Jada, after whole heartedly seeking God, were united in holy matrimony on November 29, 2008. Since then, Jada has been by his side faithfully supporting and working with him in the ministry. On May 17, 2010 they welcomed their first daughter Adelyn Grace. Then, 16 months later, they again welcomed another daughter, Anslee Faith.
Pastor Rocker, with the prayerful support of First Lady Rocker and the entire Holy Temple family, is in hot pursuit of the God-given vision for Holy Temple. With God’s help and divine providence, the great is expected!
